UC Davis Global Learning Photo Contest
The annual UC Davis Global Learning Photo Contest (formerly called the 'UC Davis Study Abroad Photo Contest') aims to recognize and celebrate student photography taking place on the many global learning programs offered throughout the year. The deadline to submit photos is in early fall quarter, but we encourage students to submit their favorite photos on a rolling basis as programs conclude. Top prizes (for all winners and finalists): gift cards ranging from $25-$200. Full details.

Global Learning Course Offered Fall Quarter 2025: EAP 001—Global Thinking
The Global Learning Hub offers an interdisciplinary course aimed at developing students’ skills as global actors and change-makers—from critical thinking and problem-solving to creative research, effective writing and public speaking, strategic project management and intercultural communication. Global Affairs United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Internship
This internship provides an opportunity for UC Davis undergraduate students to actively contribute to campus engagement on the SDGs, gaining knowledge of organizational strategy, campus and external coordination and communications and analytical skills to support this global agenda. Deadline: September 12.
Global Affairs Pal Program
The Pal Program pairs up UC Davis undergraduate students for intercultural conversation experiences. Participants can use weekly one-hour sessions to increase their intercultural awareness, practice a target language and develop friendships. Fall quarter registration now open.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program
This program offers annual awards for U.S. citizens who will have bachelor’s degrees by the 2025-26 academic year to conduct research, study or teach English in over 140 countries worldwide. Learn more about eligibility, timeline and requirements. Campus Deadline: September 4.
Schwarzman Scholars
Receive a full scholarship for a one-year graduate program (M.A. in Global Affairs) at Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Scholars will study and live at Schwarzman College and partake in a core curriculum focusing on public policy, economics and business or international relations. Deadline: September 10.
Luce Scholars Program
The Luce Scholars Program provides leadership training, stipends, language training and individualized professional placement in Asia for 18 scholars each year. This transformational program is experiential rather than academic and is not intended for those seeking research funding. Apply now. Deadline: September 15.
Gilman International Scholarship Program
Are you looking for funding support for a study or internship abroad program next year? The Gilman Scholarship provides up to $5,000 for Federal Pell Grant recipients to participate in study and internship abroad programs. Applications will open in mid-August for programs that start between December 1, 2025, to October 31, 2026. Deadline: October 3.
Blakemore Freeman Fellowships
Applications are now open for this fellowship, which provides a stipend for one academic year (two semesters or three quarters) of advanced-level language study in East or Southeast Asia. By the start of the grant, applicants should have received a bachelor’s degree and have the equivalent of three years of language study. Deadline: December 30.
Siddall Sheffield Scholarship
The University of Sheffield’s Siddall Sheffield Scholarship offers full tuition and a £18,000 (approx. $23,000) stipend for a one-year Engineering Master’s. Open to talented U.S. students across a range of disciplines—from Aerospace to Computer Science. Apply now. Deadline: January 13.
